Coral is a fabulous color for decorating baby’s nursery. Coral is known for exuding a feeling of warmth in a baby nursery. Of course, coral comes from the sea, so we often relate the color coral to beach or seaside decor. No matter where you live, coral is here to stay as a highly sought after baby nursery color. There are so many shades of coral (see Pinterest; there are some fabulous color boards!) and you can paint or just accent the nursery using coral paint. Coral looks great with natural colors such as taupe or gray, and that’s why Liz and Roo fell in love with this great “garden gate” pattern at market and decided to design baby bedding with it. It’s gone off the charts as a new baby bedding set!
The coral crib skirt really pops with a strong, vibrant color and the coral accents in the sheet, blanket, and rail cover are perfect complements to this coral baby girl nursery design. Here, we went with simple white walls.
A few months later, we listened to our customers and took garden gate another step, introducing a variation on the garden gate theme, turning the color “down” just a little to more gender neutral baby nursery, with a greater emphasis on taupe, yet maintaining the coral and gray. This took on an entirely different feel while still interjecting the color coral into the nursery. Now, we’ve created a coral and gray baby room and changed the crib to a gender neutral sugarcane finish (by Natart Juvenile). The sheet was replaced with the gray chelsea pattern but the rail teething cover and the minky blanket are the same coral garden gate pattern. Note the matching mural in coral!
Whether you are designing a coral and gray baby room, or just looking for a simply coral crib skirt, Liz and Roo offers both the set and separates. Our baby bedding is made in the USA, so you can rest assured of the high quality standards and care that come with local manufacturing.
There are lots of ways to accent your coral baby nursery. Once you select your crib and your baby bedding, have fun with the paint, the window treatments (we make matching curtains, too) and the individual pieces you find for the walls, lighting, and furniture. Don’t forget to personalize with big initials or hanging monograms. Most of all, have fun with your nursery design! We’re here to help you with any question, big or small.
